Text Banking and Overdraft Services
Bank of America is making changes to help you avoid overdrawing your account and incurring overdraft fees with your debit card. When you use your debit card to make an ATM withdrawal or everyday, non-recurring purchase, if you do not have enough money in your checking or linked Overdraft Protection account to cover the transaction, the transaction will be declined. With Text Banking, you can check your available balance prior to making a debit card transaction to help avoid having your purchase declined.
